Armed robbery, Townsville
Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store in Kirwan early this morning. Just before 6am a man has entered the store on Forest Avenue and produced knife while making demands for money from a staff member. The man then accessed money from the shopâs till and has fled the store on foot. It is believed he may have then left the area in a waiting vehicle. A TOWNSVILLE eye surgeon has helped to restore the sight of a 17-year-old boy during a mercy mission to a remote village in Papua New Guinea.Townsville ophthalmologist Dr Bill Talbot was volunteering with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) Medical Ships when he came across Bray Bungewa, who had cataracts in both eyes and could only see light and dark shapes.
