Police are investigating a series of suspicious fires that occurred in Bowen overnight. Around 10.40pm, police were called to a Powell Street address to find one building well alight. The unoccupied house was completely destroyed as result of the blaze, and a neighbouring property sustained minor damage. Around 11pm, police were called to reports of two vehicles on fire at an accommodation business in Herbert Street.
